Here’s an artist that is always challenging the country music establishment with a chevalier blend of traditional country, rock and blues. Bringing fire to the guild of quality, rebel artisans that went before him. Under the pseudonym Thunderhead Hawkins, Hank has made obvious nods of tribute to greats like Robert Johnson, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, John Lee Hooker, and Howlin’ Wolf. The LP is recorded by Dan Auerbach (Black Keys) under the Easy Eye Sound label. With a bawdy southern rock overtone and a roots grit, this album is sure to be a favorite amongst any and all music lovers. Some of it’s lyrics are censored on Spotify, so you know it’s from the heart. Not much to say here except that this is as real as it gets in music. Story telling with drums, strings, and keys. Simple as that.
