Eclipse of The Dual Moons

High Command

Southern Lord 2022

High Command’s Eclipse of The Dual Moons isn’t reinventing the wheel, it’s scything the chariot. This is a fun album. From the warm gain of the guitars to the low-tuned drums, this is thrash with a stoner timbre. The album art is well done and reminiscent of Boris Vallejo or Caspar David Friedrich. The band hails from Worcester, Massachusetts and initiated the project to brave the storms of boredom in the Winter months of New England. For a sophomore release, this album is terrific. The band has certainly become more refined since Beyond The Walls of Desolation and I’m sure they will continue to progress.
